Advanced Bouting Course (class 1) 

Want to improve your Fencing bouting and make it to the next level? 

Want to know the secrets of World and Olympic Champions and learn from the people who have travelled this path.  

Come along to the first of a series of Advanced Bouting Courses, a collaboration between Australian Team representatives and Coaches Chris Jones & Olympian Scott Arnold, assisted by National Foil Champion Steve Glaister, and learn the secrets of timing and opponent manipulation. 

Our first 2 hour class of Theory, open discussion and practical’s designed to broaden your mind and possibly change the way you see and bout for ever! 

For the introductory fee of $10 per person, our first 2 hour course will be held at Melbourne University (Melbourne Uni FC Upstairs in East Basketball Court – on Tin Alley) -: Tonight October the 12th @ 6pm.

(NB parking is difficult around that time)

This course – a combination of Theory, open discussion and Practical’s is targeted at all established competitive fencers.  (min 2 years competitive experience), foil and sabre and épée.

There are limited spaces so be quick!

Fun 4 Kids Festival 2012


Once again Sword Fighters Australia was proud to be associated with the Annual Warrnambool Childrens Festival.

The Festival is a huge undertaking for the Warrnambool City Council and all the staff involved plus all the performers and the fantastically involved South West Tafe Students.
Activity areas for 2012 included; The Scouts & Rock Climbing, Farm Yard Animals, Face Painting, Wooden Tool making, a huge Card-Board Box City, Beach Area for ball sports, Ten Pin Bowling, Animation & Video Area,  Workshop Stage for Dance, Drums, Circus Skills, Hip Hop, & the Main Stage for all the Performers Singers / Dancers /Performers etc.

Daily activites including 6 Fencing Sessions will be available everyday for the 8 Days.

Fun 4 Kids Festival 2010


Sword Fighters Australia was once again proud to be involved with the Fun4Kids Festival in Warrnambool.

Over 10,000 children and parents visited the event, with so much activity and so many different choices!.

A Full Days outing for the kids, and a great experience of shows, dance acts, play areas, entertainers, rides, prizes, animal petting, rock climbing, creative areas, woodwork, painting and toy making, balloon toys and of course Fencing!

Sword Fighter Fencing sessions were a very popular session and ran continuously 10-5pm daily.

Even some unexpected enthusiasts!  “Max” the Scout

Thanks to South West Tafe students for their great work during the festival week.

Sword Fighter Holiday Program


Sword Fighters Australia visited Warrnambool during January. 

The Warrnambool Council put on a festival for the locals (and tourists) over the summer holidays and it is a great place to visit.
