Foil Bib Mask:
Orders for modification of existing foil masks.
The following will be received from fencers:
- existing FIE mask (in a valid state for AFF competitions)
- existing lame (optional)
The following will be provided:
- a conductive overlay - of quality lame material - will be sewn on the bib of the mask according to FIE specifications (as described in the pdf file released by AFF).
Price $60
- a tag on the lame, if provided.
- a foil mask cable (with white insulation as specified by FIE)
Options for new foil mask (in the order from cheap to expensive):
1- Do-it-yourself #1: Find a non-working lame, cut a piece according to the guidelines in the pdf file released by AFF and fix it on the bib with some double sided tape (I don’t think domestic sewing machines would be good enough for 1600N bib) . You may also make a tag on back of your working lame. Mask cable extra. Valid for National competitions only.
2- Do-it-yourself #2: Obtain a ready-made conductive overlay from PBT (article no:33400). Then fix it with provided double sided tape (PBT claims that it is sufficient).-. Mask cable extra. Valid for National competitions only.
3- Local solution, see above. Valid for National competitions only.
4- Send your existing FIE mask to its original manufacturer for its whole bib replaced. Valid for all FIE competitions. 5- Buy a new mask
